A few weeks ago I was contacted about signing up for Influenster, which is a website and app dedicated to products and having actual, real life people review them.

If you are wanting to try a new product, from makeup to hair products, school supplies or even tasty treats, it’s the place you want to go to get the honest scoop!

It came in last week, and honestly, I didn’t have high hopes. I really thought I would get some random stuff that I would never use.

Wrong!

Ok, here is a list of goodies they sent:

That’s a total retail value of over $65 that I received for free. Why? So I could try these products and tell you about them.

So let’s get going on that shall we?

Evolution Fresh Juice

Sadly, I haven’t had a chance to stop by and pick up my free juice yet.

Hey! My kids go back to school soon and then I will have more free time to enjoy beverages without tiny hands reaching up and trying to grab them!

Looking at their website though, they have some amazing and super healthy options!

Just a few of the flavor options from Evolution Fresh

Welch’s Fruit Rolls

My girls LOVED these! I think I might have snuck one bite out of the three rolls I was given. And it was delicious!

Like any other fruit roll up, it was sticky, gooey and sweet. But these packed way more natural fruit flavor than I remember!

One of my mini’s who couldn’t get enough of the Welch’s Fruit Rolls

And, with Vitamins A, C and E and no preservatives, I don’t have any guilt about letting my girls snack on these…

…well except for they leave a trail of stickyness wherever they go!

Eva NYC Mane Magic

Ok, y’all, this might be my very favorite item from the box! I LOVE this spray!

It’s a 10 in 1 hair primer… and the item description says it does all of the following:

  • Detangles
  • Nourishes
  • Strengthens
  • Softens
  • Cuts down on drying time
  • Adds shine
  • Reduces frizz
  • Protects hair from heat styling
  • Sunflower seed oil protects against thermal, environmental and UV damage.
  • Argan oil feeds hair with vitamins and nutrients

Basically, it makes your hair smooth, soft, super shiny and manageable.

And I have to say… it really works! Having naturally thick, wavy/curly and frizzy hair, I need all the help I can get. I was super impressed the first time I used it. I usually blow dry my hair, straighten it to reduce frizz, and then curl it.

There was no need to straighten it at all! I just dried it and ran the curling iron through it to give it some wave and my hair was smooth shiny. I also really like that it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy. It smells amazing too, which is also a nice perk!

CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation

As you all may or may not know, I’m a pretty loyal user of Senegence makeup. However, being the open minded individual I am I was still game to try it.

And surprisingly, I really like it!

While it feels heaver than my MakeSense Foundation, it provided really great, buildable coverage. However, I recommend a good setting/translucent powder with it, as it did smear and run a bit in the Oklahoma humidity and heat. While I prefer the Senegence Translucid Loose Powder for an all over setting, I really love the N.Y.C New York Color Smooth Skin Translucent Powder for baking under my eyes and my contour. Haven’t discovered ‘baking’? Oh girl…. It’s not as intense as it sounds and it really makes a difference in getting your makeup to stay in place all day.

Aloha Protein Bar

I gave it my best shot you guys. So did my 5 year old.

Only the 18 month old was really into it. Womp, womp.

I wasn’t a fan of the taste, however, there’s no denying that these little bars pack a lot of protein!

Plus, it’s all plant based, soy, gluten and dairy free, vegan and organic, and you can’t get any more green eating than that!

I’m hoping maybe I just wasn’t a fan of the PB&J flavor. They also come in Vanilla Almond Crunch, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Mint, and Mocha, so there is plenty to choose from. I really hate to give this a bad review from just trying the one flavor, so I plan on giving the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Fudge Brownie a try!

Vera Wang Embrace Parfum

The Vox Box definitely saved one of the best products for last.

I mean… Vera Wang can do no wrong! It sure helps that I am a scent fiend, I love trying new fragrances and perfumes!

I received the Green Tea and Pear Blossom and Marigold and Gardenia scents. They are both absolutely wonderful and refreshing. I tend to lean towards fragrances that occur naturally; floral, woodsy, earthy scents. I also have a soft spot for Gardenia. I remember my mom growing Gardenias, and she also had a Gardenia lotion and spray that I loved. It’s one of the scents from my childhood.

Not to mention, those tiny perfume bottles are perfect to throw in your purse and to keep handy when you need a refreshing spritz.

So there you have it! My review of a review box full of goodies.

In summary, would I recommend Influenster and the Vox Box? That’s a hearty ‘Yes!’ from me.

If you’ve got a decent following on social media, you’ll get an ‘Impact Score’, which is a rating which Influenster uses to determine if you’re eligible to receive a monthly Vox Box. You can then review products and share those on social media to increase your score.
